I just found this beautiful photograph of Lauren Bush and Ralph Lauren's son wedding day. This amazing dress was designed by Ralph Lauren for his daughter in law. They both look stunning. I saw an interview with the Lauren family on Oprah and I could't wait to see this dress. I love it.

Harem pants I want you...

 When I first saw this pair of harem pants I so wanted them, then came the price ... over 400$ oh well...will have to do a bit more research. I have never own a pair but I always loved how they look on others.

I am not exactly sure how they will fit me since I am no fashion model or stick thin but doesn't hurt to try. Ithe issue is I have never seen them in the store only online.They look so comfortable and so fashionable at the same time, my perfect combination. I really like how the pair pictured doesn't go very low. Let me know what you think?

super lucky day

Today I had about 30 minutes before I had to pick up my son from preschool, so I decided to run in and out to my favorite vintage store and wouldn't you know I found an amazing collection of dresses. The store was empty so I wished I had more time to look through entire store. I even splurged buying two dresses with serious spots ( which I usually try to avoid) but those were just too cute to pass by. They fit ( pictures) like an 8/10 but that's not all...I also found two amazing dresses from the 1940s, they fit much smaller like a 4/6. I was smiling all the way home. Everything will be coming to the store this week. All these dresses look perfect for Christmas parties that's why I want to put them up as soon as possible. And those dresses with the spots are fine now thanks to a little windex magic.

couple items that look good next to each other

on another thought do you think leggings are still in? my thoughts are all over the place on that subject. I still love wearing them because they so comfortable but I recently realized that I usually take them off when leaving the house. Let me know what you think.

beginning

After giving it much thought I decided that I am ready for my vintagealicja blog. In January 2012 it will be a year since I first opened my store on etsy and it has been a blast. I realize that there are people that like my fashion style. This year I want to move a bit forward. I want to move into doing some alternations to vintage clothing. There has been pieces that I bought knowing that I won't be able to sell them because of their condition. This year I will try to make them work. I will be taking various sewing classes from former fashion designer ( who worked on sex and the city) if you can believe it. I have so many ideas but not enough skill to make it happen. My mother is an excellent seamstress and although she did teach me how to use a sewing machine I have lots of room for improvement. She lives in Poland, way to far to be able to help in my project
I want to hear from you what would you like to see in the store or on the blog.
Is there anything you have been craving lately? for me it would be leather, I am looking for a perfect slouchy leather jacket, not too big and not too small. I will let you know when and if I find it.
